We live in a house on the outskirts of Visby. The prefix comes from the house we lived in the sea in Almedalen. Towards the sea there is a hill (which contains an old bunker) and the hill called Battery Hill.

I grew up with a poodle (perhaps hence my great interest in Barbet?) Our first dog in the early 70s (when we were "green stringers" and bought the house in the country) became a Bloodhound-Astors Drabant. He was not that old, unfortunately due to allergy. For some years we had Clumberspaniel from Welladay's kennel. Then came the Labrador into our lives 1990th Genetics has always interested me, so my first Lab Litter was born in 1993!

I slowly started to think about a lighter in weight than the dog lab and searched in old books on dogs and found Barbet!

So I was lucky and got to talk at Nelum-Himalis in Finland. They were waiting when her first litter Barbet in May 2005.

Today there is a Labrador Battery Hill's Philippa (born 2000) and 2 Barbet Nelum-Himalis Amande (born 2005) and

Ch'titepie de La Perte Aux Loups (2007) in our house. Chippi as she is called on a daily basis was a replacement puppy with Francoise Loiseau of France.

Francoise flew to Arlande with Chippi July 12, 2007, where I picked her up! Battery Hill's Copacabana was car ride down to France in August, as we were going to Le Blanc in the exhibition (French Water Dog Club Specialty Show)

Amande got there Excellent by three different judges.

Nowadays there are also Funchal de la Perte aux Loups in our home. Grandchildren of Amande. I picked her up in March 2010 in Paris.

The building is also home to a cat breed of British korthår.Russin!
